Read to Lead: EJIP Donates Books to SMPN 1 Cikarang Selatan

Commemorating the language month and supporting the literacy programme of secondary students, EJIP donated 65 copies to SMPN 1 Cikarang Selatan on Tuesday (29/10).
The commemoration event and book donation handover were attended by 1250 students, and the Board of Teachers, Principal of SMPN 1 Cikarang Selatan. The book donation was received directly by the principal of SMPN 1 Ciksel, H. Samingan, S.Pd., M.Pd.
In addition to the donation handover, in the language month event themed ‘Improving Literacy Skills for the Progress of the Nation’ driven by the extracurricular Language Club and the school literacy program, students performed various performances starting from dances, drama art performances, poetry musicalisation, poetry reading together. As well as the handover of awards to outstanding students in competitions that were previously held.
Optimizing these activities, the school plans to encourage and support students' language skills in Indonesian, English and local languages.
